Storyline:
Set in the lower echelons of 1860s Paris, Therese Raquin, a sexually repressed beautiful young woman, is trapped into a loveless marriage to her sickly cousin, Camille, by her domineering aunt, Madame Raquin. Therese spends her days confined behind the counter of a small shop and her evenings watching Madame play dominoes with an eclectic group. After she meets her husband's alluring friend, Laurent, she embarks on an illicit affair that leads to tragic consequences.

What a find!!! This movie has been 10 years in its making and has succeeded to present with perfection! Outstanding Cast with Oscar Isaac, Jessica Lange and Elizabeth Olsen. The screenplay, production and direction by Charlie Stratton is astounding, he is a gifted talent.

Interesting Humanistic plot, and set design and costumes were good. But having a 'French' themed movie with no actors even attempting any kind of 'French' accent gave the performances a dissonance that it couldn't recover from.
